Qatar is home to many beautiful farms and nature reserves. There are some of them that allow the public to visit and take part in different programs, public events and even workshops that they undertake.

This farm in Qatar is open for visitors but as per them, they are currently closed for the season. They will be open back to the public starting September 2022.
Baladna Farm has a restaurant, a play area for kids and also a dedicated area where visitors can view the process of milking cows. This is a great learning experience, especially for kids. As per Baladna Farm, they only have the cow milking process open to the public currently. Do also check about Baladna Park here.
Heenat Salma is a farm that follows the farm to table concept. Visitors looking for this experience can reserve their restaurant for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or even dinner (at their majlis or at the campfire). Apart from this, they also hold regular events and workshops for pottery, yoga, wellness course and more. Don't forget to check out their social media accounts for the latest updates and offerings.
This is a family farm that was founded in Qatar in 1930. They produce local fresh vegetables, free-range eggs, poultry, Talapia fish and much more! As per the farm, they are closed to visitors for the season and will open for the winter next. You can keep an eye out on their social media for updates.
North Sedra Farm is a great place for a weekend getaway. When the crops are in season, you can go strawberry picking, harvest vegetables, feed the animals, stroll around and much more! Currently, they are closed for the season until November 2022 according to their update.
The Al Dosari Zoo and Game Reserve is a private zoo by the Dosari family in Al Shahaniya Municipality, Qatar. You can see many animals and birds like the oryx, ostriches, camels, turtles and more here! The price of the ticket is QR 10 per person and kids under 5 years old can enter for free. Every Friday, kids can enjoy pony, horse and camel rides from 2 pm - 5:30 pm.
This manmade lagoon is absolutely stunning to see! This oasis is located in Al Rayyan Municipality and you can see lots of different species of birds, spot migratory birds, fish, local wildlife, and flora. This off-beat place is a must-visit for photography enthusiasts and bird watchers.

Al Shu’aa Reserve is a great place for families to have fun at. The nature reserve has different kinds of trees and many animals like ducks, ostriches, pigeons, oryx, goats, rabbits and more. Kids can interact with some of the animals too. The family park also has lots of benches and shaded sitting areas with plenty of space for kids to play.
Al Thakhira Mangrove forest is a great place to find migratory birds, crabs, little fish etc. This nature site is well-known for its beach and the surrounding natural greenery is a great spot for a picnic spot. Please be aware of the surroundings while visiting and do not damage the environment.
