Several Qataris and expats have criticized the calculation procedures used by insurance companies to settle compensation claims. In most cases the companies pay the lowest possible amount, to the disappointment of clients.

As usual I want to highlight some points with these damn 'prominent Qataris'. They DO NOT represent everyone. Just because THEY want something a certain way, it's not their right to enforce it on everyone!
