Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service in Qatar (SFS-Qatar) held its third annual career fair last week, with participation from nearly 20 Qatar-based employers in energy, business consulting, engineering, banking, investment, publishing, research, telecommunications, legal, and government sectors.

The second edition of the Qatar Marine Festival (QMF), which ended at the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) yesterday, has been a huge success with more than 150,000 people visiting the event’s venues, a spokesperson for the organisers said.

Qatar, which has a low rate of tuberculosis infections, is aiming to totally stop the spread of the disease among its citizens and residents within the next five to eight years, a senior infectious diseases expert has revealed.
