According to the GCO announcement for Phase 4 of the gradual lifting of the COVID-19 restrictions plan, public transport services are allowed to resume with a capacity of 30% starting September 1st. The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) has said in a separate announcement that service hours will be the same as they were before the service suspension while the situation will be assessed on a weekly basis.

This Sunday, August 30, Doha Metro announced that Legtaifiya Station will open to the public and that complimentary Wi-Fi access will be available in stations and onboard starting September 1st.
According to Doha Metro, the EHTERAZ application is mandatory for passengers 12 years old and above. Children below 12 years of age should also be accompanied by an adult with an EHTERAZ app.

Qatar Rail earlier announced in June that it is looking forward to welcoming the public on board of the Doha Metro, following the instructions & procedures recommended by the authorities that will ensure safety & the fast return of our services.
Mowasalat, the official land transport provider in Qatar, operates both Karwa public buses and the Metrolink buses. In a tweet on Sunday, August 30, Mowasalat posted that it's ready to serve the public again on a 30% capacity. The updated schedule on its website shows that the Karwa bus will resume with 22 public routes.
