Doha Metro & Lusail Tram announced on 10 January 2024 that the Doha Metro & Lusail Tram will operate from 12 pm onwards on Friday, 12 January 2024 only.

The time change is to facilitate the travel of people attending the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ opening ceremony & match, as gates will be open by 2 pm at the Lusail stadium.
