The Ministry of Labor penalized 24 companies for failing to adhere to COVID-19 precautionary measures, including wearing masks, providing sterilizers, and referred them to the competent authorities to take legal measures.
The companies were visited during the intensive inspection campaigns carried out by the Ministry on workplaces and workers housing in various areas in the country, including Lusail, Al-Kharaitiyat and Al-Shahaniya, in order to ensure the companies commitment to implementing the precautionary measures to protect workers and curb the spread of the coronavirus.
These inspection campaigns came within the framework of the Ministry of Labor's keenness to monitor the extent of companies' commitment to implementing the measures taken to protect workers and limit the spread of the pandemic.
In this regard, the Ministry of Labor underlined that it will take the necessary legal action against anyone who neglects the implementation of the stipulated obligations, stressing that it will intensify its inspection campaigns on workplaces and workers housing, and will take legal measures against anyone who violates health requirements.
