Shooter games are an extremely popular genre in Qatar's gaming community. One of the most prominent games in the genre is Call of Duty (CoD), a multi-platform, competitive first-person shooter game with various game modes.

Ahmed Alkharusi, also known as SpedyQa, is a CoD streamer, caster, and founder of TaskForce Esports organization.

Get to know about his passion for the game, how he started streaming and how TaskForce was formed.

ILQ: Can you tell us about yourself and the content you produce?

AA: My name is Ahmed, a.k.a. SpedyQa, and I'm a Call of Duty (CoD) YouTuber, Twitch streamer, and caster. I am also the founder of TaskForce, an e-sports organization.

When I am not gaming, I am also a Qatari handball player.

ILQ: Can you tell us about your streaming and casting journey?

AA: Before I started to make content, I was a professional player for shooter games like Call of Duty and Overwatch. In 2020 I started to do content on Twitch, which became a huge hit.

It was my dream to start streaming from the beginning, but I didn’t know what to do first. One of my friends who also streams helped me to do my first stream.

As for casting, it’s sad that we don’t have many casters here in Qatar, especially in the Call of Duty community that’s why I started to do tournaments and casting.

ILQ: Can you tell us more about TaskForce?

AA: TaskForce started as a dream and goal far beyond our reach. With the years of streaming experience from Twitch and as professional CoD players, we wanted to bring western e-sports to our country; therefore, we founded TaskForce.

TaskForce’s mission is to compete in international e-sports events, organize tournaments, and encourage more people to join the beautiful sport.

We are working on letting the Qatari community know that e-sports, just like any other sport, is something the new generation enjoys and wants to take on as a full-time profession while also having fun creating content.

AA: I originally hated the game when my brother destroyed me on 1 vs 1, so I started sneaking around him to learn how to be good. Finally, I beat him and began to love playing against people.

My favourite in-game loadout is 100% the (SP-R).

ILQ: What’s your advice to players who want to improve at CoD?

AA: It’s simple, focus on your goal, learn from your mistakes, and keep grinding.

ILQ: What’s your advice to aspiring content creators and casters?

AA: Do it because you love it. Stop thinking about your numbers. Lastly, be unique.

ILQ: Can you tell us about the gaming community in Qatar?

AA: I noticed that it started to grow, and we see big names here. Unfortunately, there is a lack of events compared to other countries.

I’d like to see more Call of Duty tournaments such as Call of Duty League or Search and Destroy.

ILQ: Is there anything else you would like to tell us?

AA: I would like to encourage streamers to be more involved in our community, and we recommend more events and gatherings.

Lastly, thank you for the opportunity.
