The gaming community in Qatar continues to grow with content creators gaining popularity and e-sports organizations hosting more and more events in Doha.
This article will feature a popular YouTuber and streamer based in Qatar, Jabor Aldoseri.
Get to know about his streaming journey, love for games, Minecraft series, and his e-sports organization, Gama Clan.
JA: My name is Jabor Aldoseri, also known online as Smartgama. I have been streaming and creating content on YouTube for over two years. Most of my streams have challenges like reaching certain levels or finishing a game in one stream. The last game I finished was Just Cause 4 after playing it for 11 hours & 40 minutes straight on stream.
I am also the founder of Gama Clan, an e-sports organization where we have content creators and e-sports players.
JA: It all started when my parents bought a GameBoy for me. It was my first exposure to video games. My love for gaming increased with the evolution of devices like consoles and computers.
I love playing most games, especially those that can be played with more than one player, like Minecraft, Call of Duty, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
JA: GC SMP is a Minecraft server where most Gama Clan members play. I am documenting the process of building projects on the server. Every stream on the server has a different theme. I enjoy the random actions in the game and the viewer's engagement in this series.
JA: In general, I enjoy playing new games. I am excited to play the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. I will be posting content covering the new things in the game.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is another game I am looking forward to getting my hands on. I can’t wait to see the announcements of other games. I am hoping Square Enix will announce Just Cause 5.
JA: My friend Ali advised me to post videos on YouTube, and I started posting them right before I graduated high school.
I started doing streams every Thursday as a special event until I realized I enjoyed streaming and wanted to do more. Live engagement with the audience is a different experience than just watching a video.
JA: My advice is to be yourself and start posting stuff. No one starts perfectly. Don’t listen to anyone that says you are wasting time.
Get involved in gaming events and show love to others. If you fail today, tomorrow you will succeed.
JA: Gama Clan is a gaming e-sports organization. We have been in the scene for over a year, with more than 27 members, including content creators and e-sports players.
It all started with three friends who wanted to take gaming to the next level. We have huge plans for the future of gaming in Qatar & the GCC.
JA: We are working on many projects that are coming soon. We are building a professional e-sports team that will represent Qatar and Gama Clan in international tournaments. We will be hosting many of them.
Our next event will be a Call of Duty Modern Warfare tournament in mid-August. There will be collaborations that will be announced soon. We are the future of e-sports in Qatar.
JA: The gaming community in Qatar is massively growing, but there is less involvement in some games and gaming events due to the lack of support. We should have an official e-sports organization or department in Qatar. When the community sees the support from the government, it will play a huge role in boosting the e-sports scene in the country.
Luckily we are seeing progress from the amazing push from Store974, helping in the growth of the gaming community in Qatar by sponsoring tournaments and hosting gaming events.
JA: The gaming community in Qatar deserves better. Private local communities should lend their support if we want to see the gaming scene shine.
Last but not least, I am glad to be featured on ILoveQatar.net. Thank you!
