Effective from 6 August 2021 until further notice, Qatar will continue to allow gatherings or sitting in public parks, beaches, and the Corniche with a maximum of 20 people or family members residing in the same house, based on the Cabinet Meeting held on 4 August 2021 in which updates to the existing gradual lifting of COVID-19 restrictions were discussed.

Individual sports such as walking, running and cycling are allowed. Play areas and exercise equipment in public parks, beaches, and the Corniche will also be open. Continuing to allow the opening of private beaches not exceeding 50% of the capacity.

Continuing to allow restaurants and cafes to serve food and beverages in accordance with the following:

  • A capacity that does not exceed 50% for restaurants and cafes that have a “Qatar Clean” certificate, and a capacity that does not exceed 30% for restaurants and cafes that meet the conditions determined by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in the open spaces.
  • A capacity card that does not exceed 50% for restaurants and cafes that have a certificate of "Qatar Clean", and a capacity that does not exceed (20%) for restaurants and cafes that meet the conditions determined by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, provided that all customers have completed COVID-19 vaccine doses and only children with their families are allowed to enter, in closed spaces.
