Saudi Arabia played against South Korea in a Round of 16 match of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ at the Education City Stadium on 30 January 2024. The Match kicked off at 7 pm.
Saudi Arabia's Abdullah Radif scores the match's first goal in the 46th minute, shortly after the second half began.
South Korea's Cho Gue-Sung equalizes the score at the 90+9th minute, taking it to 1-1 at full-time.
The game was given extra time but no goals were made in the first half and second half.
The match proceeds to a penalty shoot-out.
South Korea's Son Heung-Min, Kim Young-Gwon, Cho Gue-Sung, Hwang Hee-Chan successfully scores 4 goals in the penalty shoot-out while Saudi Arabia scores 2 goals from Mohamed Kanno and Saud Abdulhamid.
South Korea defeats Saudi Arabia in the penalty shoot-out with a score of 2-4 and secures their spot in the Quarter-Finals.
