Qatar played against Palestine at the Al Bayt Stadium on 29 January 2024 for a spot in the Quarter-Finals of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™. The match kicked off at 7 pm, Doha time.
Palestine's Oday Dabbagh scored the match's first goal in the 37th minute, taking the lead at 0-1.
Qatar's Hassan Al Haydos equalizes the score with a goal in the 45+6th minute, assisted by Akram Afif, taking the score to 1-1 before the first half ends.
At the beginning of the second half, Qatar's Akram Afif successfully converts a penalty into a goal in the 49th minute, taking the lead to 2-1.
The match ended with an extra stoppage time of 8 minutes and a full-time score of 2-1 in favour of Qatar. Qatar will proceed to the Quarter-Finals of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™.
This match also marks an all-time record-breaking tournament attendance of 1,068,587 spectators for matches to date.
