A fire broke out at one of the buildings under construction in the West Bay area on Wednesday, 5 May 2021. The Ministry of Interior (MOI) in a Tweet mentioned that the Civil Defense controlled the fire without casualties.

One of the members of the ILQ staff reported from the nearby area that the top two floors of the building under construction had caught fire. Buildings in the surrounding area have been evacuated and the streets have been closed. As the temperature goes up in Qatar, it’s important to protect your homes, cars, and electronic devices from direct sunlight as much as possible to prevent the possibility of a fire accident.
