The Ministry of Interior has announced that the Criminal Investigation Department of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation apprehended an individual for practicing banking activities (currency exchange) without a registered license.
After thorough search and investigation, the suspect was discovered to have received sums of money in local currency from workers in exchange for Asian currency. Cash amounts and unauthorized financial receipts were seized from the suspect. Upon interrogation, the suspect admitted to the crime and was referred to the relevant authorities for legal action.
