The Ministry of Interior achieved a new milestone by winning the first prize in forensic sciences at the Global Police Summit held in Dubai from 5 to 7 March 2024. The award was received by Brig. Dr. Ali Talib Afifa, Director of the Criminal Evidence and Information Department.
The Department participated in the summit through the "Qatari Team for Disaster Victim Identification," which is internationally accredited by the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL).

The Qatari team for disaster victim identification won the first place, surpassing several international entities competing for the prize in the field of forensic sciences.
The award was presented during the Global Police Summit by Lt. Gen. Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police.
