The Ministry of Interior announced on 24 January 2024 that the Criminal Investigation Department at the General Directorate of Criminal Investigations has arrested a man for engaging in unauthorized currency exchange operations.

Upon investigation, the individual was caught receiving local currency in exchange for providing an international currency.

The allegations against the man were accepted by him when interrograted. Upon a search operation executed, cash and financial receipts were discovered.

The individual has been referred for further legal action with the seized items.
