In a tweet, the Ministry of Municipality has announced that the Al Wakrah Municipality has closed a public (folk) kitchen for 15 days, for preparing foodstuffs in unsanitary conditions and for a violation of the labels for these food materials. The seized items were then destroyed as they were not suitable for human consumption.
Furthermore, the Technical Control Department of Al-Wakra Municipality has seized labour housing violations at a popular restaurant. In view of seizing foodstuffs, the inspectors of the Health Control Department have been notified. They have attended immediately and seized food violations. Hence, a violation report has been issued and all necessary legal measures have been taken according to the Human Food Control Law.
