In a Tweet, Ashghal announced that the Supervisory Committee of Beautification of Roads and Public Places in Qatar has announced opening of Al Gharrafa Park, in the event organized today, Thursday, 16 December 2021.

Students With Special Needs from Shafallah Center attended the event planting trees for Qatar Beautification and Our Kids Planting Trees campaign of Supervisory Committee of Beautification of Roads and Public Places, along with Ministry of Municipality to Plant Million Trees. Al-Gharrafa Park located in Al-Gharrafa area on a land of about 50,000²mt is a new central park to serve people of several areas including Al-Gharrafa, Gharrafat Al-Rayyan, Izghawa, Al-Luqta and Al-Rayyan, serving all age groups.

Al Gharrafa Park includes the first ever airconditioned pedestrian and jogging tracks and another cyclist track, with integrated cooling and air-condition system to ensure ideal temperature between 26°C - 28°C, adopting innovative system reducing 50% of operating costs.

System relies on a design to ensure use of environmental elements including trees and climber veins that help to circulate cold air, reduce leakage and maintain cold air inside track, reducing temperature by 10°C without mechanical intervention, besides installing modified a/c.
