Oxygen Park is another addition to Qatar's long list of parks. This beautiful and vast green space covers an area of 130,000 square meters and is located in Education City. It invites students around Education City and visitors and helps them feel active and refreshed.
The ILoveQatar.net (ILQ) team has put together a list of things you must check out at this park! Let's go!
Make the most of the lush green parts of the parks. Play some ball with your little ones, chill on the neatly cut grass, and relax.
Get creative and take Instagrammable photos under the waterfall that falls beautifully near the walking or jogging track on one side of the park. Another must-check-out feature of the park is the balloon-shaped luminaries that appear to be floating.
These light up the park and add some playfulness to it. Please note that the waterfall feature might not be on at all times.
It's time to put in the steps and have an active life. Walk, jog or run at the park's beautiful tracks. Did you know you can burn up to 500 calories in 10 rounds around the Oxygen Park tracks? Have you jogged here before?
There is also a football pitch and a volleyball court at the park, which are currently closed for maintenance.
Qatar Foundation has supported emerging artists to help beautify Oxygen Park.
All around the park, you will see beautiful and colourful utility boxes painted by artists. Check them out and see how many you can spot.
Another great feature of the park is the different trees at the park.
Some important trees have their Arabic name, Medicinal Rating, Botanical Name and more mentioned right in front of them.
Many events and classes, like yoga, fitness classes, etc., take place at Oxygen Park regularly. You can register for any of them according to your interest via the Education City (EC) app:
Ample parking space is available in the basement of Oxygen Park Parking lot number P3. You can access the park entrance via elevators 5 & 6 in the parking lot.
If you are within Education City, you can take the tram (Yellow Line) and get off at Oxygen Park Station.
While you're here, don't forget to check out the Qur'anic Botanic Garden and the Torba Farmers Market (Every Saturday during winter) next to it too!
