Being a peninsula, Qatar is surrounded by the Arabian Gulf. With a vast coastline of about 700 kilometres, the country has many places or marinas where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful waters.
These marinas provide neatly laid paths that act as walking and leisure spaces to enjoy the breezy evenings or even a jog! The ILoveQatar.net (ILQ) has compiled a list of these places to explore. Check them out!
The Lusail Marina Promenade is a long strip with neatly laid paths, palm trees and water fountains. You can spend ample time here looking at the water, kids can have fun strolling and playing around, and you can also check out a food district or a drive-thru called the Lusail Marina Food Arena while you're there!

Located at one end of the Doha Corniche is Mina District. This place is a treat to your eyes as it is full of colourful buildings that look like candy! Spot these short buildings in pink, orange, blue, yellow and teal. Explore, eat at the cafes and restaurants here, walk along the marina and don't miss seeing the beautiful sunset. If you're looking for a leisure destination in Qatar that also gives you cool views of the marina and the city, then you should check out Box Park. This place is unique as shops and buildings are made of colourful shipping containers. This Instagrammable location has marine shops, cafes and eateries. Grab your favourite drink or snack and walk along the dock!

The Pearl Island's Porto Arabia and Qanat Quartier are great places to explore and walk by the marinas and docks. See yachts and boats sailing off into the open sea, eat at the many restaurants and cafes here and enjoy the cool evening breeze and the nights!
