This clean and lovely park located in the Al Shahaniya Municipality is a huge and quiet place, built to provide recreational services for everyone who wants to visit and enjoy its beauty and amenities.

Note:

  • Visitors must show ‘Green Ehteraz’ to the security guard.
  • Here are the updates on the gradual lifting of COVID-19 restrictions effective 8 January 2022:
    • Allow gatherings or sitting in public parks with a maximum of (15) people or family members residing in the same house.
    • Allowed to practice individual sports such as walking, running and cycling.
    • Opening of playgrounds and sports equipment and not to exceed (75%) of the capacity.
    • Opening of toilets as specified by the Ministry of Municipality.

The Abu Nakhla Park has three entrances, and each gate has a security office. The main gate is located opposite the Abu Nakhla Health Center. There are ample parking spaces surrounding the park.

Abu Nakhla Park has a huge fenced playing field for football, basketball, and volleyball. This sports area is available for all visitors from 3 pm to 11 pm on a first-come-first-served basis. There is a side entrance gate near this play area.

There are ample water coolers to keep visitors hydrated. The park has clean toilets for women and men, and there are lots of garbage bins reminding everyone to keep the garden clean.

The park has a nice skating area for roller-skaters and skateboarding enthusiasts, however, this spot is closed until further notice. Please note that the guards will not allow you to bring roller skates or skateboards inside the park.

  • Children are not allowed from entering without their parents' watch.
  • Men are not allowed without their families.
  • Pets are not allowed inside.
  • Playing football is allowed only in the designated places and the ball should be light for children aged 5-12 years old.
  • Campfire, barbeque, crackers and fireworks are not allowed.
  • Bicycles, roller skates and scooters are not allowed.
  • Celebrations, events and selling things are not allowed without municipality approval.
  • Littering, picking of flowers/damaging of plants and facilities are not allowed.
