Report complaint lost and found item

Qatar is a bustling country with a lot to see and do. Losing an item while travelling around may happen, and it can be a stressful situation to be in.

The ILoveQatar.net (ILQ) team has outlined some helpful tips and options for what to do if you ever find yourself misplacing an item.

Lost an item on the flight to Qatar

Just arrived in Qatar and realized you're missing something? The Qatar Aviation Services (QAS) Lost and Found can be reached at [email protected]. Send them an e-mail with the details below:

  • Passenger name
  • Airline and flight number
  • Date of loss
  • Item lost and a short description if possible
  • Your contact details

If you travel with Qatar Airways, they have a dedicated Lost and Found website where you can report your missing items. Alternatively, you can also file a report at [email protected].

Qatar Airways' lost and found reminders:

  • Lost items are unchecked items often lost in aircraft or airports.
  • Passport and identification items may be handed over to the local airport authorities.
  • Unclaimed properties are generally kept for 30 days.
  • All items over 30 days will be disposed of or donated.
  • Please note this may be subject to change.

Lost an item at Hamad International Airport (HIA)

Travelling through busy airports can get hectic. If you find yourself losing an item through the hustle and bustle at Hamad International Airport (HIA), their HIA Information Desk will be happy to assist.

However, if you have left the HIA premises and realize you've lost an item, you can contact the Hamad International Airport Call Center and Lost Property through [email protected] or +974 4010 6666.

It is important to note that items surrendered to Hamad International Airport Lost Property Office will be kept for a maximum of 30 days. Unclaimed items will be donated to charity.

Lost an item while using public transportation

Public transportation is a convenient way of travelling through Qatar. Karwa buses and taxis, ride-hailing apps, and the Doha Metro are available to take you through different points in the country.

If you've dropped or misplaced an item while in transit, below are the options you can take:

Mowasalat (Karwa taxi, bus or metroexpress)

  1. Contact the hotline number at 800-8294 or send an email to [email protected].
  2. Provide the taxi plate number, date, time, and copy of the receipt (if available).

Qatar Rail

  1. If you are still in the train or tram stations, approach the information centres to report your lost item.
  2. If you have left the station, you can contact their customer service through their hotline by dialling 105.

Uber

  1. Select "Activity" from the mobile application.
  2. The application will take you through a list of your past trips. Select the trip where you lost your item.
  3. Click on "Find lost item".
  4. The application will open a ticket of inquiry with your driver.
