Have you ever lost personal belongings like a resident ID card, driver's license, wallet, important cheques or phone in Qatar and didn’t know where to report it?

The ILoveQatar.net (ILQ) team is here to tell you how you can report these important lost items; it's a fairly simple procedure.

How to report via Metrash2 App

  1. Log in to your Metrash2 app and click on "General Services".
  2. The next step is to click on the "Report Lost Objects" option.
  3. Next, type in your Qatar ID or QID and click next.
  4. On this page, you are allowed to select the different types of lost items (. Click on it and then click on next.
  5. Fill in the lost period of the items and the lost place and click on register.
  6. Your notification will get registered with them.
  7. Once the report is registered, you will receive a lost object certificate via the registered email after approval from MoI. As per the Metrash2 call centre, further investigation will take place after this.

How to report via the Ministry of Interior (MOI) website?

According to Hukoomi, you can report lost official documents using the MOI e-services portal.

A person can report online any lost official documents, cash amounts, wallets, cheques and cell phones. The notices/reports will be instantly registered in the security departments.

Online Instructions

  1. The first step is to log in with the smartcard to the e-services portal of Ministry of Interior.
  2. The next step is to click the required transaction type (Personal for the smart card owner or Company Name for the authorized person).
  3. Next select, "Reports Services" and then click on "Report Lost Property".
  4. Qataris can enter the required details in "Person Details".
  5. Select which lost property you want to report from the "Lost Properties List".
  6. Click and select the nearest police station and enter the date and place of the lost items.
  7. Register the notice after reviewing the details in "Lost Items Registration" page.
  8. To register another report for lost items, click "New Entry" and repeat the mentioned steps.

Who is this service available for?

This service is available for Qataris, residents, companies and organizations holding the Qatari Smart Card.

What is the condition required for reporting?

The registered Qatari Smart Card should be valid.
