It is no doubt that littering is a major problem in almost every country. It pollutes the environment and ultimately harms us. We should all take steps to be more responsible in our actions, not litter, and in turn, help better our surroundings.
The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) in Qatar has strict laws about littering and not disposing of your trash properly and has announced hefty fines under Law No. 18 of 2017 on Public Hygiene.

Throwing tissue paper, waste, or empty packaging or spitting on roads or sidewalks, roads or public spaces.
Throwing the remanents of trees and gardens on roads and public spaces.
Throwing or leaving waste, garbage bags or empty containers outside public shops or outside containers designated for this.
Throwing or leaving food scraps in gardens, beaches, public spaces, or landscapes.
Leaving, dumping, or disposal of construction, demolition waste, and solid excavation in non-designated areas.
