People in Qatar (citizens, residents, and visitors) are required to wear face masks in all closed public places, except for malls, unless they are inside the shops. They are not obligated to wear masks in open public places as per the Qatar Cabinet meeting on 30 March 2022.

However, as per the Qatar Cabinet meeting, all workers in establishments, whose nature of work requires being in open spaces and communicating with customers, must wear masks during their work period.

This decision shall be effective as of Saturday 2 April 2022 until further notice.
