COVID-19 new cases 17 July 2022

The Ministry of Public Health has announced the numbers for the COVID-19 statistics in Qatar as seen in the Ehteraz application.

  • As of 7 July 2022, the Ministry of Public Health has decided to obligate all citizens, residents, and visitors to wear masks in closed public places.

As of 17 July 2022, the ministry logs 1,217 new confirmed cases for the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of active cases in Qatar to 6,869. There have been 591 recovered cases as of writing and the number of deaths remains at 680. The Ministry of Public Health has re-imposed COVID-19 restrictions on the public for precautionary measures such as the mandatory wearing of face masks in public areas.
