The Ministry of Interior represented by the General Directorate of Traffic called Wednesday on the public to benefit from its electronic services to complete vehicle renewal transactions after the exemption from the technical examination, in the framework of the health and precautionary measures to contain the Coronavirus (COVID-19), emphasizing that the patrols will proceed its usual work to seize vehicles violating technical specifications and conditions.
In a statement, the directorate clarified that the number of beneficiaries form the initiative of the exemption from technical examination has reached until Sunday 11,575, while the number of people who renewed their vehicle registration on Metrash2 application during the period from March 19 to 23 reached to 8,361.
The directorate said, that all reviewers can benefit from the electronic services that the Interior Ministry is providing to individuals, institutions, and corporates through Metrash2 and its website directly without the need to go to the General Directorate of Traffic different departments.
Furthermore, it also indicated that that the General Directorate of Traffic on Metrash2 application has more than 40 services that involve driving licenses, vehicles, plates, violations, traffic accidents, traffic certificates and other services.
Moreover, Fahes company cooperating with the General Directorate of Traffic had launched on Sunday an initiative to exempt vehicles from technical examination until further notice, and more with registering the vehicle examination through Woqood application only, in the framework of the precautionary measures to protect from Coronavirus.
The General Directorate of Traffic pointed in a statement to the possibility of insuring the vehicle through applications and websites of insurance companies for the completion of the vehicle ownership renewal process, noting that the technical patrols will proceed their work to seize vehicles violating technical specifications and conditions.
