FIFA has just announced the first ticket sales of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ start with a random selection draw sales period on 19 January 2022 at 11H CET / 13H Doha time.

Apply for Tickets

Three types of tickets will be available during this Random Selection Draw sales period:

  • Individual Match Tickets (IMTs)
  • Team Specific Ticket series (TSTs)
  • Four-Stadium Ticket series (FSTs)

During this sales period, ticket applicants will be able to submit their ticket application at any time, without any preference given in respect of the submission date (i.e. earlier submissions will not be given any preference and do not have a better chance of success than later submissions). In this sales period, ticket purchases will not be processed as a real-time transaction.

All ticket applications submitted during the entire Random Selection Draw sales period will be collected for the allocation of tickets via a random selection draw on a predetermined date after the conclusion of this sales period. Each ticket applicant may be successful, partially successful or unsuccessful in obtaining the tickets for which they applied.

All successful, partially, and unsuccessful ticket applicants are notified by email of the outcome of their applications. If their ticket application is successful or partially successful, ticket applicants will receive an email communication with further information about payment, including the steps to follow and the deadline to pay for the tickets. Please note that Visa payment cards are the exclusive payment method accepted for residents of Qatar, while Visa payment cards and other accepted payment cards are accepted for international fans. Visa is the preferred payment solution of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.

For the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ you may apply for up to six (6) tickets per match and you may purchase a maximum of sixty (60) tickets across the entire FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ competition, per postal address. This rule applies whether you apply and/or purchase Individual Match Tickets, Team Specific Tickets, Four-Stadiums Ticket series, or other ticket product.

In addition, during Sales Phase (1), before the final draw, you cannot apply for ticket products that may translate in the same match or matches played on the same day. Ticket applications for matches played on the same day will only be possible for some group matches, after the final draw, subject to the compatibility rules to be informed by FIFA Ticketing in FIFA.com/tickets in due course.

My Ticket Application

If you have already applied for tickets, you will be notified of the outcome of your ticket application by email following the random selection draw around (but no earlier than) the 8 March 2022.

If your ticket application is successful or partially successful, this email communication will also contain further information about payment, including the steps to follow and the deadline to pay for your tickets.

You can also view your ticket application by clicking on "My ticket application” and log in to your FIFA ticketing account to check the status and the details of your tickets.

Please note that you can change or cancel any ticket application that you have submitted during the random selection draw sales period by accessing your FIFA ticketing account by no later than the conclusion of the sales period on 8 February 2022 at 11:00 CET / 13:00 Doha time. After this time, you will not be able to change or cancel your ticket application. Please log into your ticketing account; upon entering the ticketing platform, you will be presented with a summary of your ticket request(s) and you have the possibility to cancel your request(s) by clicking on the “Delete my application” button. Also, you can edit your request(s) by clicking on the “Edit my application” button in the home page of your personal ticketing account.

How to Apply for Tickets

During random selection draw sales periods, ticket applicants are invited to apply for tickets that are later allocated amongst the ticket applicants pursuant to a random selection draw process conducted by FIFA Ticketing. During random selection draw sales periods, it makes no difference when the application is submitted, so long as it is submitted prior to the end of the respective random selection draw sales period, as all applications are processed together for each of these sales period.

If demand for a given match and/or ticket category exceeds the available ticket inventory for the domestic or international market, then random selection draw(s) will take place at the end of the respective random selection draw sales period to determine which applicants are allocated tickets. FIFA Ticketing may conduct random draws in any manner it deems appropriate, including by reserving certain percentages of tickets for random allocation amongst certain groups of applicants and markets, and FIFA Ticketing’s decisions are final in all matters related to random selection draws.
