Fans will be able to download the tickets to their digital wallets, meaning that they don’t need Internet connectivity at the stadium. Fans wishing to resell their tickets will be able to do so through the tournament’s official ticket resale platform.

Spectators can book seats for any of the 51 matches that will take place in Qatar between 12 January and 10 February 2024. This includes the opening and final matches at Lusail Stadium – an 88,966-seat venue that hosted the final match of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.

The announcement was made by the tournament’s Local Organizing Committee during a press conference in which officials discussed plans to host Asia’s marquee national football competition for the third time, after successfully hosting it in 1988 and 2011.

“The launch of ticket sales marks an important milestone for us, as Qatar gets ready to welcome fans from around the world once again. We anticipate that there will be tremendous interest in the tournament, which will see the best players from across Asia compete for glory,” said Hassan Al Kuwari, Marketing and Communications Executive Director of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ Local Organizing Committee.

Nine stadiums will 51 host matches between 24 teams, drawn into six groups. Seven of the venues previously hosted matches during Qatar 2022 – Lusail, Al Bayt, Khalifa International, Al Janoub, Ahmad bin Ali, Al Thumama and Education City stadiums. Two other stadiums – Jassim bin Hamad and Abdulla bin Khalifa stadiums – have been added to the roster of state-of-the-art facilities that will host the tournament.

Spectators will be able to follow their favourite team through the group stage and into the knockout round. All matches will have accessible seats available to ensure that disabled fans can enjoy a barrier-free experience. This includes wheelchair-accessible seating as well as seats for people with limited mobility.

Several cultural and entertainment activities have also been planned for the tournament.

Eng. Abdulaziz Ali Al-Mawlawi, Chief of Marketing and Promotion Sector at Qatar Tourism, said: “Qatar’s exemplary hospitality, smooth operations and exceptional cultural and leisure attractions were felt by millions of football fans during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.”
“In 2024, we look forward to welcoming many more fans and inviting them to experience the country’s expanded hospitality landscape presented by Qatar Tourism, from new hotel openings to recently established entertainment attractions. Qatar Tourism will support its valued stakeholders in creating an exciting atmosphere throughout the tournament by hosting several high-profile events that cater to diverse tastes and interests. Entering Qatar is simpler than ever with 95 countries granted visa on arrival or with the unified visa process presented by the Hayya platform,” Eng. Al Mawlawi added.

The Qatari national team will enter the tournament as the defending champions, having claimed the prestigious title in 2019 after an impressive unbeaten run. Alenabbi have been drawn into Group A alongside China, Tajikistan and Lebanon.

The other groups that will make up the field of 24 teams are Group B: Australia, Uzbekistan, Syria and India; Group C: Iran, UAE, Hong Kong and Palestine; Group D: Japan, Indonesia, Iraq and Vietnam; Group E: South Korea, Malaysia, Jordan and Bahrain; and Group F: Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kyrgyzstan and Thailand.

Qatar’s compact nature means that the farthest distance between any two stadiums is 75 km. This will enable fans to attend more than match per day. Visiting fans will be able to stay in one venue throughout the tournament, as they make their way between stadiums using a modern road infrastructure and rail network.
