Team Qatar athletes produced an impressive performance to claim five medals on the second day of the 15th edition of Arab Games-Algeria 2023, which is running from 5 to 15 July in Algeria’s capital city of Algiers.
Qatar’s Saif Abdulsalam jumped up a 5.51m height to win the gold medal in the men’s pole vault while Muaz Ibrahim secured a gold medal in the men’s discus throw event after throwing a 62.48 distance.
On the same track of victory, Ashraf Hossain claimed the gold medal in the men’s 400m, teammate Omar Daoud clinched the bronze medal in 110m hurdles in a time of 14.20 secs and Paralympian Abdulrahman Abdulqader won the men’s shot put bronze medal.
