On 26 March 2024, Qatar played against Kuwait in the fourth round of joint qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2027 AFC Asian Cup. The kick-off took place at 10 pm at Sabah Al Salem Stadium, Kuwait.
Qatar and Kuwait were leveled at 0-0 during halftime.
Almoez Ali scored the first goal for Qatar in the 77th minute, followed by Kuwait's Mohammed Daham leveling the score in the 79th minute. Almoez Ali scored the second goal for Qatar in the 80th minute. The score was 2-1 in favor of Qatar at full-time.
