The final three rounds of 16 matches of the Amir Cup 2024 on 9 May 2024 witnessed 6 teams battle it out for a spot in the quarterfinals. Al Markhiya played against Al Sadd, Al Rayyan against Al Khor, and Al Wakrah against Muaither.

Al Markhiya vs Al Sadd

The first match of the day was between Al Markhiya and Al Sadd at the Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium. The match kicked off at 5:15 pm.

Al Sadd's Baghdad Bounedjah scored the match's first goal in the 17th minute, followed by another goal from teammate Paulo Otávio in the 34th minute, taking a lead of 0-2 by half-time.

During the second half, Al Sadd's streak continues with Abdulla Badr Alyazidi's goal in the 60th minute, furthering the lead to 0-3.

Al Markhiya's Driss Fettouhi scores the team's first goal of the match in the 84th minute, followed shortly after by another goal from teammate Naoufal Bannis in the 89th minute, taking the score to 2-3 by full-time.

Al Sadd secures the win and their spot in the quarterfinals of the Amir Cup 2024.

Al Rayyan vs Al Khor

Al Rayyan played against Al Khor at the Al Janoub Stadium. The match kicked off at 8 pm.

Al Rayyan's Róger Guedes successfully converted a penalty in the 19th minute, followed by a goal from teammate Rodrigo Moreno in the 24th minute, taking the lead to 2-0 by half-time.

Al Khor's Khalid Radwan scores a goal in the 64th minute, taking it to 2-1.

Rodrigo Tabata from Al Rayyan answers with a goal shortly after in the 79th minute and teammate Róger Guedes scores his second goal of the match shortly after in the 84th minute, taking the win with a 4-1 score at full-time.

Al Rayyan secures their spot in the quarterfinals of the Amir Cup 2024.

Al Wakrah vs Muaither

Al Wakrah played against Muaither at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium. The match kicked off at 8 pm.

Muaither's Denis Alibec scored a goal in the 21st minute of the match, taking the lead to 0-1 by half-time.

In the second half, Muaither's Majed Abdullatif equalizes the score with a goal in the 60th minute, taking the score to 1-1.

Mohamed Benyettou from Al Wakrah scores a goal in the 80th minute, taking the score to 2-1.

Muaither's Muneer Abdulghani Mazeed answered with a goal in the 90+8th minute, taking the match to extra time with a score of 2-2.

Al Wakrah's Mohamed Benyettou scores a goal in the 98th minute, taking the lead to 3-2.

Denis Alibec from Muaither responds with a goal in the 115th minute, equalizing the score to 3-3 and taking the match to a penalty shootout.

Al Wakrah wins 5-4 in the penalty shootout and secures their place in the quarterfinals of the Amir Cup 2024.

Al Sadd, Al Rayyan, and Al Wakrah take the last three spots in the Amir Cup 2024 quarterfinals.
