The Round of 16 matches of the Amir Cup 2024 commences from 6 - 9 May 2024. Teams will play to qualify for the quarterfinals. On 6 May 2024, 2 matches were held between Al Duhail vs Al Shamal and Al Arabi vs Al Sailiya.

Al Duhail vs Al Shamal

The first Round of 16 match of the Amir Cup 2024 witnessed Al Duhail play against Al Shamal at the Al Janoub Stadium on 6 May 2024. The match kicked off at 5:15 pm.

Al Shamal's Ricardo Gomes scored the match's first goal in the 39th minute.

Philippe Coutinho, known as the "Brazilian magician", makes his debut at the Amir Cup playing for Al Duhail and equalizes the score by successfully converting a penalty in the 45+2nd minute taking the score to 1-1 by half-time.

Al Duhail's Ismaeel Mohammed starts the second half strong with a goal in the 52nd minute, taking the lead with a 2-1 score.

Michael Olunga from Al Duhail furthers the lead with a goal in the 87th minute, securing the win for the team with a 3-1 score by full-time.

Al Arabi vs Al Sailiya

The second Round of 16 match of the Amir Cup 2024 was between the defending champion Al Arabi and Al Sailiya at the Ahmed bin Ali Stadium. The match kicked off at 8 pm.

The match witnessed a goalless first half. The second half had an intense start with Al Sailiya's Abdulla Mahmoud Mahmoud scoring a goal in the 51st minute, taking the score to 0-1.

Al Arabi quickly responded with Abdou Diallo and Rafael Alcântara (Rafinha) scoring back to back goals in the 52nd and 65th minute taking the lead and securing the win at 2-1 by full-time.
