Qatar parks all set for Eid Al Fitr 2019 revellers

Qatar daily The Peninsula reported that the Ministry of Municipality and Environment represented by the Public Parks Department and Municipalities has readied the public parks extending the visiting hours till late night to receive visitors during Eid Al Fitr.

The Public Park Section at Al Shamal Municipality washed and cleaned out the park's facilities including play areas, walkways and conducted necessary maintenance of water cooler and lamp post for Eid Al Fitr where large numbers of people visit parks with their families, the Ministry said in a statement. The public parks will open from 8am to 12 midnight during Eid Al Fitr.

The Public Park Section at Al Sheehaniya Municipality also said that it has readied all public parks which falls under the municipality to receive the visitors during Eid Al Fitr.

The preparations of the municipality include cleanliness and hygiene of the parks and provision of security for the safety of visitors. The Municipality said that the cleaning operation will continue round-the-clock for walkway, play areas and bathrooms during Eid to serve the visitors.

According to an earlier report of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, the total number of parks in the country has reached 94. The Public Parks Department at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment built a total of 51 new modern parks and renovated the old ones during past five years.

The Ministry of Municipality and Environment represented by the Public Parks Department developed many new parks and renovated the existing one to accommodate the growing population of the country.

Family parks were built at dense populated family residential areas installing a number of fitness equipment and building play areas with games to attract the women and children.
