H.E. Chairman of Qatar's Gaza Reconstruction Committee Ambassador Mohammed Al Emadi signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Tor Wennesland yesterday 19 August 2021.

H.E. Al Emadi said that the memorandum of understanding includes the mechanism for distributing the cash aid grant provided by the State of Qatar to needy families in the Gaza Strip.

His Excellency explained that the cash assistance to beneficiaries will be disbursed through the United Nations and through its World Food Program, where about 100,000 needy families in the governorates of the Gaza Strip will receive this aid per month, at the rate of (USD100) per family in cash.

H.E. Ambassador Mohammed Al Emadi indicated that the Qatari committee will transfer the aid funds before the end of this August and that its distribution will start during the month of September.
