On 27 November 2023, the official spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Majed Al Ansari, announced in a tweet that as part of the ongoing mediation, an agreement has been reached to extend the humanitarian truce for an additional two days in the Gaza Strip.

This announcement was followed after Dr. Majed Al Ansari had confirmed that efforts were being directed towards extending the truce in the Gaza Strip for an additional two days in order to bring more aid into the Strip and release the largest possible number of hostages and prisoners.

Pointing out that there are positive messages from both parties to extend the truce, Dr. Al-Ansari expressed, in a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the hope of the countries of Qatar that the humanitarian truce will lead to a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and stop the blood of civilians.
