As per a post on Space.com, meteor showers will illuminate the skies on Thursday evening (12 August 2021). The Perseids happen each year in August and are expected to reach their peak this year between 11 to 13 August 2021 (Wednesday to Friday), with the best viewing hours between midnight and dawn on Thursday (12 August 2021), according to NASA.
As per Al Jasra News on Twitter, this is one of the distinctive meteor showers because it is more intense and active. The rate of the meteor shower when it reaches its peak is about 100 meteors per hour, and it can be monitored with the naked eye towards the northeastern horizon from around midnight (12 August 2021) until dawn on Friday (13 August 2021).
