The Qatar Calendar House announced that the residents of the northern hemisphere, including the residents of Qatar, can view and monitor the Geminids meteor shower.
The astronomer expert at Qatar Calendar House, Dr. Bashir Marzouk stated that the Geminids meteor shower will reach its peak on Wednesday evening, 14 December and will last until sunrise on Thursday, 15 December.
What distinguishes the Geminids meteor shower is that its monitoring requires only a place far from environmental and light pollution. As per Dr. Bashir Marzouk, one can see the Geminids meteor shower without astronomical devices or telescopes, and they can see and monitor it with the naked eye.
He added that modern digital cameras can be used to capture a photo of the Geminids meteor shower, taking into account the increasing exposure time during photography to obtain distinctive images of the meteor.
