A group of Qatar born young entrepreneurs with a passion to discover and share the hidden jewels of Qatar have officially kick started their first leadership summer camp. In partnership with a leading social enterprise – Mission 20 – the camp, that focuses on learning leadership skills through outdoor experiences and indoor workshops will begin from 26th of July, 2018.

Founded in 2016, Middle East Adventures – also widely known among the expat community in Qatar by their famous program 365 Adventures – is one of the youngest, upbeat and creative Inbound Destination Management Company and Tour Agency – licensed by Qatar Tourism Authority. Currently, the company promises to serve a “yearlong of adventures” to its customers, offering a plethora of outdoor experiences including and not limited to Desert Safari, City Tours, Fishing Trips, Paragliding and Kayaking Eco-tours in the mangroves of Al Thakhira.

Speaking to the press, Mohammed Meraj – Co-founder and Managing Director of Middle East Adventures said “It is crucial to share the knowledge that one can learn by being in nature. Our initial idea is to help build a love of learning by being in the nature and outdoors. This camp is a perfect mix of indoor and outdoor activities that will help these youths to become future leaders.”

The camp – which is a 2 night, 3 day experience that offers a variety of three packages. First one, without the hotel stay, second one, with a twin sharing room and the third one with a single room. All indoor activities and lodging will be offered in a leading 4 stars’ hotel in Qatar.

Indoor activities of the camp will feature interactive workshops and intellectual learning exercises, including and not limited to “Immunity to change”- Design Thinking by Mohamed Eraky, Coach & Performance consultant. “In my courses, I don’t try to change people, my goal is to always encourage them to think and innovate.” – said Mohamed Eraky who aims to help students to think outside the box.

The program starts with a session / talk on “Rules of Blogging” by popular Singer and micro-blogger – Fares Dehbi.

“Kick-starting Your Community Project” by Amanat Solanki, Founder of Mission 20, who believes that “youth energy if channelized can do wonders. As young leaders it is our responsibility to shape the youth for a better tomorrow and with leadership camps like these we can ensure that the target is well achieved.” Mr. Solanki believes that the camp is a unique blend of adventure & workshop with activities that cover almost all the spheres necessary for participant’s personality development. Mission20Knowledge is proud to partner with 365 Adventures in making this camp impactful and successful.

Moreover, “The Art of Expose – Public Speaking” by Abdulrahman Sajid, TEDx speaker, “Sustainability in our Daily Lifestyle” by Mehreen Ghuman (Dutch Innovation Student) “My idea is to help shape the participants” - thinking towards a positive outcome and make the most productive use of their time in the summer break – especially those, that are looking at graduating from high-school” – said Mehreen Ghuman, who is project managing the camp on an internship with MEA as an Undergraduate Student in Business Management and Innovation at the Inholland University of Netherlands.

Divided into groups of 5 each, participants will be asked to come up with a project idea and apply skills and knowledge they have learned at the camp to formalize their projects and pitch them in front of panel of judges for financial and physical support. The projects need to have a long-term vision that achieves one of the pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030.

Participating in these workshops will set the base to launch their concepts under guidance of several entrepreneurs who have years of experience working in the same field. The projects need to be focused on sustainability. Keeping the Sustainable development goals by the United Nations in mind. Participants will be using guidelines to shape these projects into something valuable. These guidelines include the 17 Sustainable Development goals 2030 by the United Nations and the Qatar National Vision 2030 which is divided in 4 pillars: Economic, Social, Human and Environmental development.

We are delighted to announce that registrations are open for the camp. There is an early bird discount on the camp tickets for those who sign up before 15th of July 2018. Further details about the camp and registration process can be acquired from the website of MEA www.365adventures.me.
