The @metrotram_qa #MetroLink buses now have a tap in & out card, which the driver would give you, if you don't have it already.
It's basically a QR code, which you can peel off & stick on your Metro Travel Card, if you use one. pic.twitter.com/dnsmA9ngvx
We reached out to Doha Metro via its Twitter account and they have confirmed that they are introducing the QR code which will be distributed by the Drivers to the passengers. Passengers will now have to tap in & out a card when using the Metrolink.
According to Doha Metro, "This will provide valuable information and data in relation to passenger journeys which enables Qatar Rail and MOTC to plan Metrolink services to meet customer needs in the future."
For Metro users with a reusable Travel Card, you can peel and stick the QR code in your Travel Card. Otherwise, you can use the one given by the Metrolink driver.
