Toastmasters fraternity of Division E Qatar held its 13th Annual Conference (TAC E) with the theme ‘Empowering Leaders’ on Friday 22nd April at the College of North Atlantic (CNAQ) attended by around 350 toastmasters, guests and dignitaries.

Division E Director, TM Ravi Kumar officially declared the conference open and DTM Virendra Nath, TAC E Chair welcomed all the participants, toastmaster members, guests and dignitaries. The conference was presided over by the District 20 Director DTM Sujith Sukumaran.

32 contestants who had won in their respective club level and area level contests participated in four different categories. The winners were Toastmasters Thomas Philip (Table Topics), Abhishek Chattopadhyay (Evaluation), Siva Prakash (Humorous) and Nisha Shivram (International). These four contestants will represent Division E, Qatar at the District 20 Annual Convention (DTAC) held in Abu Dhabi on 26th May.

There were, apart from the contests, two key note speeches delivered by Ms. Carolin Zeitler, the founder and CEO of How Women Work (HWW) and DTM George Thomas. Caroline in her speech emphasized on the need to find happy moments in lives and live in those moments without fear or tension that brings about true connections with ourselves and the world around. DTM George Thomas enunciated in his address the ‘Success Tips’ in life.

DTM Sujith Sukumaran, the guest of honour, in his message inspired the audience to be true leaders in spirit. Additional Division Director TM Ruban in his ‘thank you’ note extoled all the contestants, sponsors, attendees and guests for making the event a memorable one. It was a day abound with ‘food for thought’ as the attendees left for homes. The conference was a huge success with meticulous preparation and planning executed by the Division E officials lead by the TM Ravi Kumar.
