Street photography, or photography in general, is indeed a beautiful thing as discussed in a separate article we've posted a few weeks ago. The regulations and restrictions being imposed on photographers on this part of the globe may bring in some hurdles here and there but as long as the fruits of their labor don't violate any Islamic norm, then Qatar's strict photography guidelines are just challenges conquerable by any daredevil regardless of their size and consequences.

But not all daredevils (hothead, adventurer, exhibitionists, etc) break the law. Many of them show off their boldness simply by dangling a camera on their neck and snapping random photographs of people, structures, animals, objects, and even shadows as they move from one place to another on a day-to-day basis.

The same story goes with Filipino amateur photographer Arsenic Junior. Being based in Qatar for many years now, he started learning photography in 2012. Back then, he's already fond of capturing random images of people in public places although he did not have an idea of what street photography is.

In order to learn and understand street photography more, Arsenic Junior joined various social media street photography groups. He also studied the works of street photography masters Henri Cartier-Bresson and Elliot Erwitt -- who are two of his biggest photography influences. He also participated in several prestigious street photography contests and luckily landed a few awards.

And although he has traveled the world for some of his best street clicks, Arsenic Junior is more than happy to share with ILQ's avid readers' ten of his 'Doha blockbusters.'

Important: Arsenic Junior uses the technique of 'juxtaposition' -- a style widely used in street photography -- so in case you find one of the images disturbing or inappropriate, the photographer and ILQ hold no responsibility for your interpretation.

Each photograph was shot with the purest intention.

The cover image -- which Arsenic Junior also took -- was one of the finalists of the 2015 Miami Street Photography Festival.

So did these street clicks make you feel like out of Qatar for a while? And how was it interpreting such bizarre representations of people and objects seen in public places?
