Hayya Portal application as entry permit for visitors

Hayya Portal is a portal for tourist visa applications for all those who want to enter Qatar. Here are the categories of tourist visas to Qatar:

A1 - Tourist Entry Visa: For general tourists, and can be applied for via the new Hayya Portal.
A2 - GCC Resident Entry Visa: GCC residents can now visit Qatar easily with a dedicated GCC Resident Entry Visa regardless of profession.
A3 - Entry Visa with Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA): Applies to visa and residency holders of the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and/or Schengen.
A4 - Entry Visa for Companion of GCC Citizen: Applies to GCC Citizens who would like to bring companions during their travel.
C - Hayya with Me: International Hayya Cardholders who visited Qatar during the World Cup can invite up to 3 family members/ friends via Voucher Codes to visit Qatar.

Travel to Qatar by air

This is the best and the most preferred way to get into Qatar by many. The ports of entry by air are Hamad International Airport (HIA) and Doha International Airport (DIA).

Qatar Airways is the national carrier, and many global airlines fly into the country too.

Travel to Qatar by land

Qatar, being a peninsula, shares only one land border with Saudi Arabia called the Abu Samra Land Border. This is the only entry point via land into Qatar and is located about 1.5 hours away from central Doha.

Visitors who want to enter Qatar through the Abu Samra Land Border can also travel via their private vehicle, subject to certain conditions.

Two ports in Qatar serve as entry points for travellers entering Qatar by sea. They are the Doha Port and Hamad Port. Chartered cruise ships dock and bring in tourists here.
