Wakrah Mini Zoo is quite literally a hidden gem. It does not have a sign and can be easily missed. Good to look for these big gates with elephant figures on them to find the place!
Once you enter the gates, you will be greeted by an open space with intersecting paths, a beautiful bridge surrounded by various plants, and animal pens on the east and west.
You'll actually be surprised by how large the area is!
One of the popular attractions of Wakrah Mini Zoo is its beautiful bridge that's surrounded by trees, and plants. Visitors love striking a pose at this location as it offers a stunning backdrop to your images.
One of the first animals you may spot is the beautiful white horse located directly west of the entrance. It is the only horse here and is quite friendly!
Next to the horse enclosure are several goat & cow pens! These farm animals are very curious and will likely come up to the visitors to interact. The goats here come in different colours from white, and brown, to black and white spotted ones!
You'll also find spot Qatar's national animal, the Arabian Oryx! These majestic creatures are truly a sight to see.
The area also has several elevated paths that offer visitors a unique view of the animals. Enjoy exploring the views this place has to offer.
An elevated path you should definitely go through is the exotic bird aviary. This path goes through the middle of the enclosure, giving visitors both left and right views of the animals.
The exotic bird aviary is home to several peacocks of different colours!
With their large spaces, you'll get to see them interact with one another. If you're lucky, you may witness one of them spread their feathers and show off!
One thing you'll notice is that the area is full of various species of birds! Everywhere you'll walk, you'll hear the sound of them chirping.
If you've explored the area enough, you will stumble upon a large open cabin where visitors can visit and rest while getting a beautiful view of the area.
There are also several kids' play areas around the area where the little ones can play and have fun!
