Families living in New Salata and nearby areas are lucky to have a lovely, peaceful park they can easily visit if they want to relax, take a walk, or simply enjoy the lush greenery.
The ILoveQatar.net (ILQ) team has listed down some of the things you must check out when you visit this park!
Note:
There are ample parking spaces reserved for visitors just outside the park. At the entrance gate, a security guard will greet you and will ask for your 'green Ehteraz'.
Did you know that you can watch both sunrise and sunset from this park?
You will find around fifty huge, beautiful trees inside the New Salata Family Park. And when you feel like taking a break from walking or jogging, there are 50 benches and 12 gazebos within the park.
This man-made hill inside the park is not moving or rolling, but children call it such because this is an area where they 'roll and play'. On top of the small hill, you will normally find family and friends gathered for some talks while keeping an eye on their children.
The children's play areas are located on both ends of the park. At the far right area upon entrance is a mini house of slides, monkey bar, climbing paths, and a tiny merry-go-round.
On the other side are four swings strong enough to carry both kids and adults alike. Notice the sandy surface around the play area? Kids will love to spend time here.
The pathway inside the New Salata Family Park is a great track whether for a morning jog or an evening walk. This straight path curves at different places. Walk or jog and burn some calories, while listening to your favourite music.
You can spot different birds at New Salata Family Park thanks to their hanging water feeder. Enjoy the chirping of birds while spending time at this beautiful park.
Notice that brown hut? It's a drinking station! After a good long walk or a tiring play, both children and adults can drink from the two of the water faucets available inside the park. The water is clean and cool! No reason to get dehydrated!
Upon entry, you will see a 'reminder board' of what is not allowed inside the park. These are not allowed inside the park:
