Have you ever received a traffic violation before? Did you know that you can request to object to in Qatar? According to the Ministry of Interior (MOI), individuals and companies can submit a request online to object to traffic violations registered on vehicles through the Ministry of Interior (MOI) website or the Metrash2 App. Here's a step-wise process on how to do it.

What are the online instructions via the Metrash2 app?

  • Login to your Metrash2 Application.

  • Click on the "Traffic" option.

  • Next, click on "Violation Service".

  • The next step is to click on "Violation Objection".

  • Go through the "Remarks" and click "Next".

  • The next step is to fill in the details like plate number and then click on "Next".
  • Check all the violation details in the “Violations List”.
  • To object to a specific violation, select it and click on “Next”.
  • Please note that in case you are not allowed to object to a violation, you cannot choose it and you can review the reason in the “Violation Status” field.
  • Type out the reason of objection in the “Reason of Objection” textbox in the “Register a Violation” and then click on “Submit”.

What is the additional information to note?

  • Violations objection is only for violations registered in the last two weeks.
  • Objection for a vehicle is only allowed once.
  • Objection is not for radar related violations.
  • The response from the Ministry will come within 15 days. You can check back at the same service to know the Ministry's decision.
  • The objection is only allowed for unpaid violations.
  • You can also use this service through the MOI e-service portal.
