For cases that require specialized care at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), individuals with referrals from private clinics no longer need to visit the HMC facility to personally request an appointment. HMC has launched a new online appointment referral system on its website for easier access and processing.

The newly launched e-system can be accessed through this link. This system is available for residents of Qatar and individuals outside Qatar.

The ILoveQatar.net (ILQ) team has put together a comprehensive guide on how to book appointment referrals through the portal.

How to book an appointment referral for patients inside Qatar:

1. Select the "INSIDE QATAR" button from the homepage.

2. Input the patient's Health Card Number.

3. An OTP will be sent to the number of the Health Card holder. Enter the OTP.

Note: The patient's primary details will be automatically filled in as per the Health Card information.

4. Fill in the e-mail address.

5. Attach a digital copy of the patient's clinical referral. (file size must not exceed 2 MB)

6. Click 'Submit' to confirm.

7. HMC will contact the patient to arrange and confirm the appointment.

How to book an appointment referral for patients outside Qatar:

1. Select the "OUTSIDE QATAR" button from the homepage.

2. Fill in the Patient's details:

• Name (as it appears on the passport)
• Date of birth
• Passport number
• Nationality
• Contact number
• E-mail address

3. Fill in the referral appointment details

• Referring doctor's name
• Preferred language
• Preferred dates of travel
• Who you are seeking care for

4. Fill in the emergency contact details:

• Relationship with the emergency contact
• Emergency contact's name
• Emergency contact's number

• Digital copy of patient's passport (file size must not exceed 2 MB)
• Digital copy of patient's medical report (file size must not exceed 2 MB)
• Digital copy of the clinical referral (file size must not exceed 2 MB)

6. Click 'Submit' to confirm.

7. HMC will contact the patient to arrange and confirm the appointment details.
