Did you know that you can file a complaint against food establishments and shops regarding public health matters? This is if these establishments are not up to the mark in meeting the basic hygiene and public health requirements.

It is undertaken by the Health Control Section of the Municipal Control Department which takes care of inspecting and following up on the complaints it receives. It is in collaboration between the Ministry of Municipality (Albaladiya) and policies stations, the labs of the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) and the Communicable Diseases Center at Hamad Medical Corporation.

Here are the steps for issuing a complaint.

What are the online instructions?

• The first step is to fill out an online form by typing in all the required information.
• Enter your details like name, phone number, email address, Qatar ID number.
• Write complaint details, choose the complaint type and also choose if it is a note or a suggestion to the competent authority.
• Click on “Send”.

How can you do this on the Oun app?

• Download Al Baladiya's mobile app 'Oun' (Google Play/Apple Store).
• Go to "Complain" under the "Services" section.
• Fill in the details and attach the required documents if any, along with your complaint and click on "Send Request".

Additional information to know

• You can also issue a complaint at the Government Contact Center by calling 184 (toll-free).
• Or through the social media channels of Albaladiya: Twitter, Instagram, Facebook.
• This service requires 4-6 days to be completed.

What are the fees for this service?

• No fees are required for this service.
