Skateboarding is fast becoming a popular sport in Qatar with more and more people taking up this fun and exciting activity. As a result, there are now more places in Qatar where you can learn skateboarding as well as practice your skills and learn new tricks.

If you're looking for a skateboard, you'll find plenty of options in Doha. Skateboards prices start from QR 29 and can go up to QR 400 depending on the size, brand, design and make.
Quicksilver, Decathlon, Virgin Megastore, Sportscorner, Lulu Hypermarkets, Carrefour Qatar and Family Food Centre have a variety of skateboards you can choose from. You can also buy skate tools to make sure your skateboard is in great working condition. Make sure to buy accessories like helmets, knee pads and elbow pads which are essential to wear to stay safe in case of any fall.

Although Al Bidda Park doesn't have a custom-made skating bowl, ramps or railings, the areas are well-paved. There are plenty of spots that are elevated providing great obstacles for skateboarding skills in this huge park where you can skateboard to your heart's content.
Hotel Park Doha is a beautiful park that's located near Sheraton Grand Hotel Doha and boasts of many activities, green areas, water fountains and much more. Although the park doesn't have a dedicated skating area, skateboarders use the various steps and obstacles to perform skateboarding stunts and tricks.
Although the DECC Metro Station is not a skate park, every Thursday, skateboarding enthusiasts gather outside the station, set up their ramps, rails and obstacles and practice what they know best. It's a great way to engage with the community and like-minded people who share the same love of skateboarding.

The Qatar Foundation Skatepark features a diverse range of bowls, ramps and rails so skateboarders can practice their skills and learn some new tricks as well. Located at the West Green Spine in Education City, the park is a collaboration with QSports. It is a great way for adults and kids to engage as a community and enjoy an active lifestyle. You can even rent equipment at the park and also learn how to skateboard with on-site skateboarding trainers.
The Al Khor Park and Zoo is a beautiful well-manicured park and the perfect destination for those who want to spend some quality time away from the city rush. This park has a dedicated skating area among its other facilities and amenities where skateboarding enthusiasts and newbies can take their skateboards for a spin.
Dahl Al Hamam has been one of the main attention grabbers for skateboarders for many years and nothing's changed. The skating area has an impressive size and gives skaters the opportunity to practice and show off their skills. Just nearby there's a ramp, too, so more skilled skateboarders can practice on the ramps.
Please note that as per the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME), this park is currently closed for maintenance and rehabilitation.
