Celebrate Lunar New Year this year in style with award-winning Cantonese restaurant, Hakkasan, located in The St. Regis Doha, a property known for its richness and opulence. This year, Hakkasan Doha presents an exquisite menu of authentic signature favourites available for a limited time only from January 21st till February 5th in the restaurant and rooftop from 6 pm to 11:30 pm.
Delving into the centric zodiac sign of the year as per Chinese Astrology, the Rabbit symbolizes patience and luck and will bring peace and success in the new year. Cautious and considerate, the Rabbit represents humility, elegance, and kindness, and many people born under this zodiac sign possess these positive traits.
The alluring menu, priced at QR 498 per person, promises to excite not only the palettes but the senses with subtle nods to the Rabbit throughout the presentation and ingredients used. It consists of 8 sumptuous dishes, a decadent dessert and an enhanced beverage exclusively curated for this special occasion.
The enticing Lunar New Year menu encompasses a welcome sip and eight unique dishes to enjoy. Guests will commence the menu with the ‘Tùzi Tail’, an extravagant drink that serves to set the mood for the experience to ensue. Subsequently, guests can start appetizers with Lo Hei ‘Prosperity Toss’, an octopus salad drizzled with yuzu plum sauce and chilli garlic vinegar followed by Happiness dim sum trio, inclusive of a glorious seafood dumpling, and prawn shui mai, and Mooli puff.
Thereafter, the main dishes presented are the Cherrywood smoked roasted duck with carrot and kumquat chutney, and Stir-fried Wagyu beef, bursting with succulent flavours and aromas. A befittingly named, black sesame mousse, raspberry compote, and raspberry sumac sorbet, ‘The Lucky Rabbit’ will conclude the luxurious feast.
Besides the extravagant menu, the celebration would be enhanced with traditional customs. Following back to its Cantonese roots, Hakkasan Doha would be hosting the wishing ribbon tradition, a practice born centuries ago where guests can tie ribbons with their wishes for the New Year imprinted on them, around the restaurant, in order to bring good fortune for the coming year.
