Qatar: 1804 new recoveries, 2 new deaths, 530 new cases of COVID-19 on July 4

The Ministry of Public Health announced today that it recorded 530 new confirmed cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) and recovered 1804 cases during the last twenty-four hours, bringing the total number of people recovering from the disease in the State of Qatar to 90,387, in addition to recording two deaths.

The Ministry issued a statement on the developments of (Covid-19) in Qatar, which included the following:

New infections and recovery:

  • 530 confirmed new cases infected with the COVID-19 virus.
  • 1804 people recovered from the virus during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cures in the State of Qatar to 90,387.
  • Two new deaths were recorded for two persons, aged 69 and 82, who had received the necessary medical care.
  • All new cases are put in isolation and they receive the necessary health care according to their health status.

Covid-19 Current Status:

  • The covid-19 countermeasures applied in Qatar have succeeded in flattening the curve and limiting the spread of the virus.
  • There has been a gradual decrease in the number of new daily cases and hospital admissions during the past few weeks.
  • The number of deaths has increased in recent weeks, due to the people who were infected at the height of the virus several weeks ago.
  • An increase in the number of injuries was recorded among families, which calls for increased caution because this population group includes the highest percentage of the elderly and people who suffer from chronic conditions.
  • Now more than ever, we must be careful and protect the most vulnerable.
